The recreation and aquatics facility janitorial seasonal laborer will perform janitorial, maintenance, and upkeep services for the citys recreation and aquatics facility.

The recreation and aquatics facility janitorial seasonal laborer: 1. Will be required to have a physical presence and regular and reliable attendance. 2. Performs janitorial, maintenance, and safety services to the buildings and grounds of the recreation and aquatics Facility. 3. Inspects facilities and ensures compliance with regulations related to safety standards for public buildings. 4. Appropriately works with the maintenance staff as part of the team. 5. Assists in maintaining all appropriate records of facility cleaning and maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs. 6. Maintains positive and effective public relations. 7. Performs varied physical tasks, such as cleaning, painting, grounds keeping, and operating equipment. 8. Assists in ensuring compliance with all safety guidelines and policies as established by the City of Spearfish. 9. Has a reasonable working knowledge of the handling of hazardous materials. 10. Learns and follows city-established safety practices. This includes: Required to wear safety-toed work shoes for tasks that put the employee at risk for foot injuries (to be provided by the employee). Required to wear hard hats, protective eyewear, ear protection, air masks, and other such gear as situations require and as assigned by supervisor (provided by the City).

Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license with an insurable driving history
