REQUIREMENTS: ALL Applicants must be:

  • 18 years of Age

  • Able to Pass a Drug Test

  • Legally Eligible to Work in the US

  • Additional Requirements for Craftworkers:

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsite every work day (driver's license not required)

  • Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools)

  • May be expected to travel where the project requires (multi-state opportunities)

    Duties:

  • Adhere to all Company Safety Requirements/Procedures (e.g. constant use of personal protective equipment, PPE)

  • Must successfully pass multiple welding test using various welding processes on multiple materials and in multiple positions as directed by the Shop QA / QC Inspector / CWI and Shop Supervisor or Shop Manager.

  • Willing to be involved in cost reduction projects and corrective actions as directed by the Shop Supervisor or Shop Manager.

  • Works from shop drawings, blueprints, sketches, work orders, and verbal instructions from the Shop Supervisor or Shop Manager.

  • Set up welding equipment for production welding utilizing welding procedure(s) as directed by the Shop Work Order & Shop Supervisor or Shop Manager.

  • Responsible for assuring all welding equipment is properly taken care of and maintained.

  • Perform any combination of duties in welding, brazing, and thermal and arc cutting activities.

  • Reads and understands blueprints & welding procedures for the selection of weld types, preheat requirements, post weld heat treatment requirements, filler materials, and performs work to specified tolerances.

  • Ensure that work areas are always clean and orderly.

  • Assist Quality Control with keeping neat and orderly records on work preformed and repairs made.

  • Visually examine welds for defects to ensure conformance with specifications.

  • Move material in and out of fabrication areas using heavy material handling equipment.

    Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Adhere to all Company Safety Requirements/Procedures (e.g. constant use of personal protective equipment, PPE) and understand all Safety & Shop Procedures.

  • Requires 3-5 years of related experience in welding of structural steel, piping, & plate.

  • Extensive knowledge of welding and measurement tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • May be required to complete formal training in area of specialty.

  • Physical stamina and strength are required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; (2) year technical degree is a plus.
