Join our dynamic team at a rapidly growing multibillion-dollar Real Estate Company in Southfield, Michigan as a Real Estate Analyst & Associate Asset Manager. We're on the lookout for an individual with a minimum of one year of public accounting experience to take charge of the accounting, reporting, and operational aspects of our multifamily communities. With a diverse portfolio currently overseeing $3 billion in multifamily and commercial real estate through public and private offerings, this role offers an exciting opportunity to grow within the real estate industry.

The ideal candidate will bring high energy, an entrepreneurial spirit, impeccable character and integrity, and a strong work ethic to the table. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must, as you'll be collaborating closely with external property management firms and executive leadership. This role is perfect for someone eager to deepen their understanding of real estate and propel their career forward.

Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of multifamily communities across the United States, encompassing acquisition/disposition, financing, daily operations, cash management, investor communication, and compliance oversight. Key duties for the assigned portfolio include becoming the go-to expert, occasional on-site property visits, financial statement preparation, operational reporting, budgeting, cash flow projections, coordination with external accounting firms for tax preparation, and ensuring internal controls and compliance measures are in place.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA preferred

  • 1+ years of public accounting experience

  • Strong work ethic with a proactive mindset

  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Excel is essential
