Eaton Corporation Internship: Electrical Engineering - Southfield, MI in Southfield, Michigan

Eaton Corporation’s Research Labs has an opening for an Electrical Engineering Intern located in Southfield, MI. Students will start their full-time internship with Eaton in the May of 2025 through August of 2025. The students would have access to state-of-the-art laboratories and on-site mentoring. Since this position will support lab protype development, implementation and testing, hands on electronics board development and testing experiences are essential.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.85 per hour.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Help develop HW boards for low voltage and power applications.

  • Prepare prototypes of the hardware systems with the guidance of the experts.

  • Help develop associated software for the control of power converters.

  • Help develop and implement system harnesses.

  • Help the prototype system development for any mechanical aspect.

  • Learn about the power electronics system, their design and implementation, and perform engineering analysis related to the power electronics systems.

  • Learn and test the developed protypes in the lab.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited institution.

• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please do not round)

• Currently located within 50-mile radius of Southfield, M.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
