This Position is for a Registered Nurse (RN): Signing Bonus and Relocation Allowance with a job corps agency located in Memphis, TN.

Summary: Assists in administering the Center's Health and Wellness Services Program.

Duties and Responsibilities: Oversees scheduling of sick call, infirmary coverage, and environmental health, physical and dental exams in accordance with DOL guidelines. Inspects the food service facility and dormitories regularly. Develops and maintains an inventory control system for medication, equipment and medical supplies. Conducts inventories of supplies and medications monthly. Purchases medication and medical supplies. Participates in nurses' on-call rotation. Functions as staff nurse as needed. Collects data and maintains wellness monthly Utilization Report. Plans, organizes and controls the use of overtime and on-call staff to insure compliance with Center and ETR policy and procedures.

Skills/Competencies: State Licensed Registered Nurse. Three years experience as a practicing nurse; one of which was in a lead capacity. Must possess a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Proven ability to lead and support a team. Thorough knowledge of nursing techniques and practices. Knowledge of current state and federal laws regulating health care and patient privacy (HIPPA). Strong organization skills and communication skills, both oral and written. Familiarity with medical needs of young adults. Meticulous documentation/recording skills and attention to detail; excellent time management. Ability to multi-task in a fast-changing environment. Proficient in the use of a personal computer and computer software including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office/medical equipment. Kneeling, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching overhead. Retrieving and storing files and supplies; occasionally carrying and/or lifting light objects .

Working Conditions:  School health care and general office setting. Indoor and outdoor environment. Handle hazardous materials/waste; exposure to blood and body fluids. Exposure to risk of illness. On-call  availability to attend emergencies as required. May be required to occasionally work a flex schedule to include evenings and/or weekends.
