Town of Southampton Heavy Equipment Operator in SOUTHAMPTON, New York

This position in the Waste Management Division is responsible for a broad range of duties including, but not limited to, Operating front-end loader, 2 cubic yards or larger, flatbed trucks, semi or full tractor trailer trucks and roll-offs, small bulldozers, 10 wheel dump trucks with trailers and tractors. Loading garbage onto trucks; Checks working condition of equipment; gives routine service and maintenance; May operate large tractors with hydraulic accessories; May transport trucks, possibly containing hazardous materials. The candidate must be flexible and be able to work both independently and with other staff members. Candidates are required to hold a valid New York State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - class A. Tanker Endorsement a plus. License must be maintained throughout employment in this position. $63,802.24 plus full benefits package. High School Graduate plus one year of experience in the operation of heavy automotive equipment preferred.
