The Activities Assistant is essential to enriching the lives of our residents. Working in a collaborative environment, this role assists in implementing recreational and social programs that enhance the quality of life for our community members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in organizing and leading engaging recreational programs for residents

• Facilitate resident activities in both group settings and individual interactions

• Foster teamwork and open communication to support meaningful resident connections

• Use creativity and problem-solving skills to manage tasks and coordinate events efficiently

• Provide positive, life-enriching experiences that align with our values of Care, Trust, and Respect

• Must be comfortable around smoke as we take residents out on smoke breaks

Qualifications:

• Experience with older adults in a long-term care or similar setting

• Patience and empathy to work with residents at varying levels of care

• Comfortable reading aloud to groups; background in art or music is a plus
