Generac Power Systems Supply Chain Manager in South Portland, Maine

Supply Chain Manager – Clean Energy

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Director of Supply Chain and manage key aspects of the end-to-end supply chain on a suite of Clean Energy Products.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to transition products from NPI into Mass Production.

  • Develop supply forecasts within a cross-functional team to meet revenue targets and upside opportunities

  • Work with Planning/Purchasing to maintain MRP.

  • Issue supply forecasts to external manufacturing partners, monitor production forecast attainment, and resolve key issues with support from various disciplines.

  • Communicate performance metrics to the executive team in monthly Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP) meetings.

  • Analyze demand risks and determine mitigation plans accordingly.

  • Understand capacity planning and collaborate with external and internal manufacturers on capacity expansion planning for long-term growth.

  • Track and report Excess & Obsolete (E&O) liability risks and maintain a strong grasp on product roadmaps.

  • Optimize Finished Goods freight/logistics costs by working with external manufacturers, freight forwarders, and the corporate logistics team.

  • Work with external manufacturing partners on quality improvement initiatives.

  • Assist with various financial analyses such as inventory utilization, purchase price variance (PPV), and duty/tariff analysis.

  • Participate in Supplier quality audits for conformance to corporate requirements as required.

  • Act as an SAP Super User within functional area as assigned.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Operations;

  • 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Demand Planning, or other related experience;

  • MBA preferred;

  • Experience using SAP or equivalent ERP required;

  • Experience with external manufacturing preferred;

  • Experience with Clean Energy Producs and electro-mechanical assemblies preferred;

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and colleagues.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong ability to prioritize multiple complex projects and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
