Generac Power Systems Project Manager, Fleet in South Portland, Maine

As a member of our Clean Energy Team, The Project Manager, Fleet will be responsible for managing critical initiatives within the Fleet organization, particularly focus on improving internal process and related systems. The Project Manager will also have assignments for special projects that arise periodically including installations for larger dealers, and service campaigns.

The Project Manager, Fleet will lead cross functional initiatives for the Fleet organization including internal process improvements, dealer facing installation and service programs, and track KPIs across the Fleet organization. The successful candidate will be able to work with a multi-disciplinary team including engineering, product management, applications, fleet analytics, support, marketing, sales, and importantly our dealer partners and system owners. The Project Manager, Fleet will have in-depth knowledge of Solar + Storage products, associated markets, deep attention to detail and an affinity for continuous improvement.

This person ideally will be based in our S. Portland office.

Essential Duties:

Drive cross-functional efforts to improve process within Generac Clean Energy, specifically focused on Fleet initiatives.

Work with and understand internal and external business processes and capture essential feedback to drive continuous improvements.

Report on KPIs across the Fleet organization to provide awareness and visibility into our performance.

Work with our Salesforce administrators to implement new service related functions including Artificial Intelligence, and maximizing the value of current and future Salesforce features/licenses.

Facilitate weekly meetings to report the progress of key Fleet initiatives.

Work with Service Operations & Supply Operations to ensure critical service parts are properly forecasted and planned for

Ensure backend systems are functioning properly including our ERP, CRM, and dealer facing fleet monitoring tools.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in a technical field or demonstrated experience in supporting new product introductions.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a project manager, technical support engineer, or application engineering.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience reporting project status updates to executive level personnel.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

MBA.

Hands-on experience with residential electrical systems and/or solar + storage systems.

Knowledge of code and compliance requirements related to residential electrical and solar + storage systems.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport and establish and maintain relationships with customers, peers, and managers.

The ability to extract actionable insights using data.

Familiarity with ERP & CRM systems including SAP and Salesforce.

Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
