South Mountain Restoration Center is a long-term care facility situated in the beautiful mountains near Michaux State Forest. This position functions to maintain the center's HVAC, refrigeration and retherm equipment in proper operation for the comfort and safety of residents, staff, and visitors. If you are energetic, reliable, and experienced in the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems, apply today and discover all that a career with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania can offer you!   DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an HVAC Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic, you perform skilled work at the journey level in a nursing home facility. Duties include checking temperatures of all refrigerators, freezers, milk coolers, and walk-in boxes containing resident food. You also check and maintain ice machines, household refrigerators, milk coolers, air conditioners, and walk-in boxes; and maintain all circulating pumps related to refrigeration equipment.

Other duties include the installation of new refrigeration and related equipment when necessary and installing new HVAC and related equipment when necessary. You also perform preventive maintenance on all related equipment. In addition, you order and maintain proper stock of parts to repair related machinery.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Please check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, units, and equipment;or Completion of a three-year Vo-Tech training program in refrigeration, HVAC, or building automation and six months experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, related digitally controlled equipment, or BA systems; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration equipment. Special Requirements:

This position requires possession of a valid Class C driver's license. All employees must obtain an EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification from an approved provider within six months of employment. Other Requirements:
