Nephrology-Hypertension Med Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant in South Carolina

Salary Commensurate with level of Nephrology experience.

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to diagnose and treat health conditions related to Nephrology, as well as promote good health practices. As an advanced practice NP or PA, youll be our go-to person for ensuring the best patient care possible. The job description of an NP or PA includes conducting rounding at multiple dialysis units to evaluate the progress of patients, physical examinations, interpreting lab tests and overseeing patients health. Youll be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting kidney disease prevention practices. You should have experience in one of the following specialties: nephrology, acute care, cardiology, family health, or womens health. As a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, youll have to work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills and communication ability are important. Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant

  • Examine patients and their medical records
  • Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
  • Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
  • Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
  • Prescribe medications
  • Maintain accurate records and schedules
  • Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
  • Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
  • Oversee patients overall health
  • Promote good health practices
  • Advance professional knowledge and conduct research

Skills

  • Proven experience as an Advanced Practitioner in a dialysis unit, clinic, hospital, ER or other setting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant
  • Expertise in nephrology, primary care, acute care and chronic care practices
  • Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong ethics
  • Team spirit with a positive attitude
  • Patience and cool-headedness
  • Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
  • Valid Advanced Practitioner license
  • Masters degree; PhD is a plus
  • Able to travel

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Schedule:
