Honeywell Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician - Spartanburg, SC in South Carolina
As a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to provide advanced technical support and expertise to our customers in the Industrial Automation (IA) business unit. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring the successful implementation of our solutions, and driving customer satisfaction. Your expertise and commitment to excellence will play a crucial role in the success of our field service operations and the growth of our business. You will report directly to our Field Service Engineering Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Spartanburg, SC location. In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and safety of our customers' operations by providing exceptional technical support and service.
Various Shifts Available – Day, Swing, and Night Shifts
Addresses: 670 Falling Creek Rd or 495 Cedar Crest Rd - Spartanburg, SC
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of distribution center material handling equipment
Takes the role of the Site Supervisor on days required
Can assist in the development of specific technical and training documentation
Analyzes and troubleshoots reoccurring issues and creates an action plan/RAIL to support the change
Completes work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures in a timely manner.
Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop)
Follow appropriate safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.) and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards.
Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment
Utilizes TCPiP as a troubleshooting/setup tool
Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, etc.) according to safety and quality procedures
Troubleshoots and repairs complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, PC logic controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and external Input/Output (I/O) devices where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious
Provides resolutions to mechanical, technical/controls issues; documents all information relating to customer support issues in CMMS and Dashboard database; utilizes resources in other departments (when necessary) to expedite the resolution of conveyor related issues
Provides information to the Customer Service Department and other members of management to enhance Customer Service success
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ability to lift 25 pounds individually and 50 pounds as a two-person team,
The ability to work above your head for extended period of time while standing, laying, or seated (e.g., 30mins). The ability to lift weights listed above your head.
The ability to move safely in confined spaces which may require crawling on hands and knees.
The ability to safely climb / descend / work on ladders and stairs frequently.
YOU MUST HAVE
4+ years of relevant experience in Material Handling Equipment, including conveyors, sortation systems, and mechanical troubleshooting/maintenance/installation.
Strong technical expertise in Industrial Automation technologies.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
WE VALUE
A degree from a vocational school or college in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
Experience maintaining conveyor systems.
Familiarity with Honeywell Intelligrated Conveyor Systems.
Proficiency in Mechanical, Electrical, and Motor Controls troubleshooting.
