POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for reviewing all consumer loan applications in assigned region and serves as first contact to lenders in reviewing consumer loans.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Serves as first contact on all reviews for consumer loans in assigned region.
  • Mentors and coaches lenders in assigned region to structure and cross sell consumer loans.
  • Works with lenders in assigned region to book additional business by suggesting other loan opportunities to meet their branch and individual loan goals.
  • Takes and reviews consumer loan applications in loan system (i.e., Decision Pro) to ensure they are accurate and complete.
  • Reviews loan reports from loan system (i.e., Decision Pro) for those consumer loans that were approved, denied and undecided.
  • Looks for upsell opportunities on approved loans as well as other opportunities for loans undecided or denied.
  • Conveys company loan policies to junior lenders and mentors them to understand the loan decision.
  • Delivers public presentations of 1st Source products/services individually or as part of a team at client's place of business.
  • Represents the bank through community and professional involvement in groups and associations to develop contacts for potential business.
  • Answers inquiries, handles service needs and provides consultative advice to internal clients.
  • Actively participates in team meetings and works with banking center team to drive results in sales goals to meet individual and Banking Center goals.
  • May teach retail loan classes as requested.
  • Completes all compliance training related to the position.
  • Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Four (4) - five (5) years of retail banking experience preferred.
  • Customer service and sales oriented.
  • Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Office essential.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality/privacy of others as appropriate, as well as of company documents and records.
  • High degree of attention to details.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

EDUCATION Bachelor'sdegree preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Ability to travel to off-site locations for meetings, projects, seminars, etc., as well as ability to travel overnight.
