We're hiring an Operations Specialist to join our growing Souderton, PA team. Please note: this is a fully in person role.

Responsibilities

Responsible for processing new accounts to the firm, related transactions and subsequent business. This will include, but not be limited to, data entry into back-office systems, document scanning, document filing, the creation of tickets for supervisory approval for business received and other general administrative work in a timely and organized manner.

 

Responsible for processing ongoing client requests and account reviews including, but not limited to, account updates, address changes, beneficiary updates, client review agendas and related maintenance functions including data entry in to back- office systems, document scanning, document filing and generation of confirmation letters in a timely and organized manner.

 

Provide support to the firm's trade desk for accepting and processing unsolicited client securities transactions.

 

Process trade corrections to update dollar and quantity amounts, incorrect security traded, trade date and ticket and commission adjustments.

 

Monitor, review and process service messages sent by our clearing firm.

 

Provide ongoing support as needed for processing daily data downloads and reconciliation, perform system maintenance to identify and purge closed accounts and household existing accounts.

 

Responsible for direct client services through telephone and personal contact.

 

Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct.

 

Perform additional duties and projects as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business related field or equivalent work experience

 

6-12 months financial services industry experience with operations experience preferred.

 

Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 and 63 securities licenses preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. Receiving a series 7 and 63 registration is a condition of continued employment for this position.

 

Knowledge of general securities industry terminology and practices

 

Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in fast-paced and team-oriented work environment

 

Strong communication (verbal/written) and organizational skills with the ability to work cooperatively with internal and external customers while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

 

Ability to work independently with strong administrative and problem-solving skills.

 

Ability to exercise good judgment by recognizing urgency and prioritizing accordingly.

 

Demonstrated PC skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
