This position performs routine manual work in the custodial care of the Bedford-Somerset DBHS buildings and its properties.  Work schedule is 8 hours per week, 2-3 evenings per week as scheduled.  Work hours can be flexible but must be completed on the assigned day after 4 pm except for Friday duties which may be completed on Saturday or Sunday if preferred. Additional hours can occur up to 28 hours to assist with staff coverage as needed and/or special projects.  

Responsible for cleaning restrooms, offices and common areas. Empty waste containers, sweep, mop, and wax (as needed) floors, dust furniture and fixtures. Operate and care of vacuum cleaner, scrubbing and polishing equipment (if applicable) and other janitorial equipment. Wash windows. Clean walls and other miscellaneous items. Complete special projects as needed i.e. deep cleaning.  May assist with mowing and trimming of lawns, weed eating, raking lawns and snow removal when needed. Operate and care of push/riding mower, weed eater and snow blower.  May provide custodial duties in the Windber Outpatient Clinic.  Other related duties as assigned.
