Job Overview:
The Director of MSO Services plays a vital role in overseeing the management of the Management Services Operations [MSO] team within the RWJBarnabas Medical Group.
Reporting to the VP of Administration, the Director of MSO Services partners with MSO team leads to deploy resources and services to key customers, including RWJBH MG practices and affiliated provider groups.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Management experience in physician practice management or MSO service leadership, with a minimum of three to five years of experience
Proven leadership skills in training/mentoring employees
Experience in project management, continuous improvement, and leadership of complex projects or initiatives
Preferred:
Master's degree in health services [MS, MPH, or MHA], or business administration [MBA]
Background in Supply Chain Management, Revenue Cycle, HIMs, Coding, and/or Credentialing Privileging preferred
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
Hybrid opportunity - 3 days in office preferred
Essential Functions:
Supervise and support MSO team leads, responsible for project management and float pool management
Primary liaison for coordinating additional centralized support services
Foster relationships with key stakeholders to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Medical Group MSO
Establish and maintain an administrative structure that supports provider practice operations and future growth plans for the Medical Group
Enhance employee engagement and foster a culture of collaboration and enthusiasm among the MSO team
Implement and recommend Key Performance Indicators [KPI] and Service Level Agreements in collaboration with key stakeholders
Ensure accountability through regular communication and reporting on key performance metrics, including productivity and quality
Leadership ability with a focus on influencing and implementing change
Talent recruitment and retention skills
Strong communication, listening, and participative leadership qualities
Customer-focused with a professional demeanor
Knowledgeable about the business and essential technical and functional skills; understands various business propositions and operations
Effective management of people; sets goals, measures accomplishments, and provides feedback; delegates and develops staff
Ability to assess strengths, weaknesses, and potential; hires and deploys staff effectively
Driven to achieve results, initiates action and follows through on tasks
