Growth Ortho PRN Radiology Technologist in Somerset, Kentucky

Bluegrass Orthopaedics is hiring a PRN Radiology Technologist for our Radiology Department in Somerset, KY. The Radiology Technologist will operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images during clinic. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible following established radiological requirements and regulations to ensure the safety of our patients and team members. ​​​This Radiology Technologist opportunity is a full-time position located on-site in both Somerset and London, KY. The Radiology Technologist reports to the Radiology Supervisor and Clinical Director. Radiology Technologist Roles and Responsibilities: Operating imaging equipment and performing diagnostic x-rays as applicable on patients as ordered by physician Evaluating radiographs for technical quality Assisting physician with imaging procedures Maintaining up to date knowledge of field using continuing education and in-service Obtaining and completing process for medication requests by patients Obtaining KASPER reports as ordered by provider Operating autoclave and distributes clean instruments to all areas of clinic Maintaining a safe, orderly work area and practice safety factors Performing other duties ad assigned by the Supervisor. Required Skills & Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent​​​​ Completion of accredited radiology program/ARRT registered Demonstrated skill in computer input and personal computer operation Ability to follow instructions by medical provider for diagnostic imaging Exceptional customer service skills.​​​​​​ Positive attitude, desire to efficiently support the care of patients, work in a team relationship with other health care workers to produce positive outcomes Ability to promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, insurance companies and the public Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements, and regulations Bluegrass Orthopaedics At Bluegrass Orthopaedics, we offer employees tools and support that promote success and happiness which creates a positive, family-oriented atmosphere for top-quality patient care.
