Robert Half Procurement Manager in Solon, Ohio

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Procurement Manager in the manufacturing industry, based in SOLON, Ohio. The role involves overseeing the purchasing department, ensuring effective buying processes, and managing vendor relations. This role also requires expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), specifically Epicor, to streamline operations and increase efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the purchasing department and ensuring the effective execution of buying processes

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, negotiating pricing and contracts

• Utilizing expertise in Epicor and other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools to streamline operations

• Participating in production scheduling to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials

• Demonstrating leadership skills within a small team to ensure smooth operations

• Monitoring and analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to procurement and making necessary adjustments

• Ensuring the company's purchasing functions align with its overall manufacturing goals

• Utilizing strong communication skills to resolve any issues that may arise during the purchasing process

• Managing purchasing materials and planning in a way that supports the overall production schedule

• Overseeing the accounting functions related to procurement and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. Requirements • Proven experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and related software such as Epicor

• Experience with Accounting Functions and Buying Processes

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Experience in managing a Purchasing Department and handling Purchasing Functions

• Knowledge and understanding of Purchasing Management, Purchasing Materials, and Purchasing Planning

• Ability to handle Master Scheduling and Job Scheduling tasks

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
