Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician | Direct Hire | 31.15/hr | 2nd/3rd
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical components of production-related equipment. This role requires a strong commitment to continuous improvement and competency development.
Responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components of production-related equipment, including ingredient handling & preparation, milk plant operations, packaging systems, and storage systems.
Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, ensuring cost-effective and reliable equipment performance.
Complete assigned work in a timely manner following standards and best practices.
Provide technical training to operators to ensure knowledge transfer and autonomy in equipment operations.
Perform equipment improvements and enhancements to optimize production.
Participate in problem-solving utilizing tools such as BDA and GSTD.
Actively participate in NCE and improvement teams.
Lead continuous updates of maintenance procedures and PM optimization efforts.
Review required spare parts to maximize technical warehouse service factor.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance experience, preferably in the food industry.
Experience with 120v-480v and 3-phase systems, lockout/tagout procedures.
Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics.
Ability to read and interpret wire diagrams and schematics.
Proficiency in using mechanical and electrical tools and diagnostic instruments.
Basic PLC experience, including troubleshooting and reading/interpreting ladder logic.
Experience with CMMS (Preventative Maintenance Programs).
Experience with automation or robotics.
FDA/USDA experience.
TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) experience.
Basic computer skills, including the use of Outlook email.

Work Environment
This is a 10-hour shift position from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM and 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The work environment is clean and food industry-specific, with occasional work in freezers (up to -40 degrees) or near ovens (up to 115 degrees). Uniforms are supplied, and there is a strong focus on safety and training. There is also an opportunity to work some holidays with holiday pay.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $53664.00 - $74713.60

Give them one week of vacation for their first year and also get PTO if you have good attendance for 30 days you earn 4 additional hours if you have perfect attendance for 90 days you would earn a 12 hour shift off. You can roll over PTO and it never expires - in a year can earn additional 6 days

A lot of tenured people, Maintenance Supervisor has been there for over 20 years
Assigned to a veteran tech for training period
May have to work some holidays if it falls on their scheduled days but they do pay holidays
No mandatory OT but is there if they want to pick it up
$175 per year for broken tools, lost or stolen tools
Not a dirty work environment

All the managers used to be techs and worked their way up
