Job Title: General Production $18+

Job Description

We have three open positions for General Production, with two positions available for the 1st shift (7am – 3:30pm) and one position available for the 2nd shift (3:30pm – 12:00am). Candidates will be considered for various roles, including Gluing Operator, Shelling Cables, and Housing Cable Assembly. The skill sets required for these positions are similar, but the specific tasks may vary. The final position will be determined based on the interview.

Responsibilities

• Read work instructions to meet quotas for all positions.

• Perform very repetitive work while sitting.

• As a Gluing Operator, apply beads of glue to a wire passing through a machine with ultra violet light, using both hands and feet to operate the machine/pedal.

• In the Shelling Cables role, connect 2 pieces of 12-inch cables to a circuit board, apply a small piece of plastic over the cables using a hand press, and follow directions for cable assembly.

• For Housing Cable Assembly, insert crimped wires into small plastic housing and follow work orders to complete daily quotas.

Essential Skills

• Experience in assembly, production, and using hand tools.

• Proficiency in small part assembly and visual inspection.

• Experience in general production and electronic assembly.

• High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with cables and electronics is a plus.

• Must have worked on the 3rd shift previously if applying for that shift.

Work Environment

The work environment is a production-based setting with all positions in one room. The process flows from crimping to housing cable assemblies, shelling cables, and gluing. The room is clean and will have 12 other employees sitting at workstations. This is not a suitable position for candidates from packaging, warehouse, or similar backgrounds.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
