Process Engineer Solon, OH Job Description This position will be responsible to lead initiatives across departments to support On Time Performance, Right the First Time, NPC (New Product Creation), Product transfers and Manufacturing cost reduction. Other responsibilities of this position include utilization of vendors and other Kennametal locations to support manufacturing activities beyond the scope and capabilities of the Solon facility, including but not limited to modernization and simplification of manufacturing processes. A candidate in this position will be required to participate in technical design reviews, specify machine tools and justify their acquisition and challenge status-quo manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements while maintaining a cost-effective and time-sensitive approach. Qualifications The candidate should have: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant years of experiencein Machining Industry Proven experience in the following areas: Unigraphics NX CAD/CAM experience, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), SAP, vendor selection and qualification responsibilities and manufacturing support activities to include tooling selection, fixture/ work holding design. Analytical problem-solving skills, including knowledge of FMEA, Statistical Process Control, DOE or similar disciplines and exhibit the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment All employees are expected to: Be aware of and adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety practices for the facility and immediate area. Complete all necessary documentation, electronic data entries and communications accurately and timely. Maintain regular attendance and perform duties in a timely manner, arriving and departing for assignments and meetings as required. Be aware of all standard procedures and practices associated with the position and work to maintain compliance.
