Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Controls Engineer to provide plant support for our customer in Solon, OH. This is a night shift position from 10pm - 6am, Sunday through Friday, with an indefinite contract and overtime paid at straight time. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work for a rapidly growing integrator with no travel required.
Responsibilities
Provide plant controls support
Modify, troubleshoot, and program control systems onsite at the customer location
Develop Human-Machine Interface (HMI)
Utilize and work with RSLogix 5000
Control system management including ControlLogix and PanelView HMI
Perform troubleshooting, programming, and P&ID control loop tuning
Essential Skills
Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field
3+ years of experience in Plant Controls, Controls Engineering, or Controls Technician roles
Significant recent experience with RSLogix 5000
Exposure to HMI development
Strong troubleshooting and programming capabilities with RSLogix 5000
Experience with ControlLogix and network controls
Proficiency in using MS Teams
Physical ability to climb ladders, stand for long periods, and walk around the customer facility for 12-hour shifts
Ability to demonstrate proper hygiene in an FDA regulated facility
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field
Ability to program RSLogix 5000 from scratch
Experience in systems integration
Experience in the food industry
Work Environment
You will report onsite daily to the customer facility in Solon, OH, providing plant coverage. This position involves working in a FDA regulated environment, requiring proper hygiene standards. The role demands physical activity including climbing ladders and walking around the facility for extended periods. The shift is from 10pm - 6am, Sunday through Friday.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $60.00
