Description

Our client in Solana Beach is seeking a reliable Accounting Assistant to support their accounting and administrative departments. In this role, you’ll perform a variety of tasks, including processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with office duties. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers and is looking to grow in their accounting career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment follow-ups.

• Prepare and post journal entries into the general ledger.

• Reconcile bank and credit card statements.

• Support payroll submissions by gathering hours and verifying data for entry.

• Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve invoice or account discrepancies.

• Provide general office support, including filing, data entry, and maintaining accounting records.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks as directed by the accounting team.

  Requirements

• 1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and general ledger systems.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• High school diploma required; an associate degree or coursework in accounting is a plus.
