Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to become an integral part of our team. This role involves managing and analyzing financial records and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and procedures. The position is based in Skokie, Illinois.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the process of account reconciliation and ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
• Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Perform bank reconciliations to confirm that all banking transactions are recorded in the company's financial system.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure it accurately reflects the company's financial transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries in alignment with the company's accounting policies and procedures.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting tasks.
• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported and deadlines are met.
• Utilize NetSuite and QuickBooks for financial management and reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget by providing relevant financial data and analysis. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of accounting
• Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
• Demonstrated expertise in handling general ledger and journal entries
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required
• Experience with month end close processes is essential
• Proficiency in using NetSuite and QuickBooks accounting software is expected
• Prior experience in annual budget preparation and implementation is necessary
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
• CPA certification is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team as needed
• Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on data analysis
• Must adhere to high ethical standards and demonstrate a high level of integrity in all work-related activities.
