Pay: $141,000 - 192,000

What you will do

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Digital Packaging Manager to lead the development and integration of cutting-edge modeling and simulation capabilities within our Packaging R&D team. This role will be instrumental in pioneering future prototyping and laboratory capabilities and driving a consumer-centric, digital-first approach to packaging innovation. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for benefit-led innovation.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement advanced modeling and simulation tools (FEA, CFD, 3D applications) to enhance packaging design and optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate digital-first methods into the packaging development process.
Ensure accuracy and reliability of simulation models to predict performance and identify potential issues early in the design phase.
Lead the establishment of state-of-the-art prototyping and laboratory facilities to support rapid experimentation and iteration.
Oversee the development of new testing methods and standards to validate packaging solutions.
Foster a culture of innovation by promoting the use of new technologies and materials in prototyping.
Champion a digital-first approach to packaging innovation, focusing on creating solutions that meet consumer needs and preferences.
Utilize consumer insights and data analytics to inform packaging design and development.
Collaborate with marketing and consumer research teams to ensure alignment with brand strategies and market trends.
Lead and mentor a team of packaging engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Build strong relationships with R&D functions, suppliers, and partners to drive sustainable innovation and superior consumer experience.
Represent the company at industry conferences and events, staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Package Engineering, Materials Science, Structure Design, or related technical field.
10 years of experience in consumer product innovation and packaging development, with a focus on digital modeling, simulation, and prototyping.
Strong technical skills in modeling and analysis to verify performance and manufacturability, and drive form/fit/function optimization
Proven track record of leading innovation projects and driving consumer-centric packaging solutions.
Robust understanding of engineering principles, structural dynamics, and capability to solve multi-physics modeling challenges
Passion for Sustainable materials and product experience with ability to influence brand innovation pipeline
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to dissect complex technical challenges and drive business strategy


What's in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $141,000 - 192,000 . This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
