seeks 20 Roofing Crew Members for permanent, full-time employment.

Job Duties: Work on commercial roofing projects related to new construction and re-roofing projects throughout the Eastern part of the state. Inspect roof condition, remove existing roofing materials and underlayment. Perform minor roof deck repairs and replace other projects ancillary to the roofing project, as needed (i.e. roof curbs, penetrations, vents, etc.). Clean roof deck and surrounding structure to prepare for roof installation (this may even include removing snow from the roof deck). Install underlayment and attach new roofing materials using proper methods for installation by cutting materials to fit around walls, roof curbs, penetrations, and/or intersecting roof surfaces. Load and unload roofing materials and keep them clean. All duties to be performed utilizing proper fall protection and scaffolding.

The employer will provide on-the-job training. The employer will provide all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge.

Requirements: Ability to climb and descend a 40-foot extension type ladder unassisted; the ability to work at heights in excess of 10 feet; and ability to repeatedly lift and carry roofing materials daily weighing approximately 75 pounds. Ability to cut, hammer, fasten, and otherwise work with the roofing materials. Ability to work in a variety of physical positions, including stooping, squatting, kneeling, and crawling; extensive use of arms and shoulders, gripping, and safe use of small and large hand power tools. Ability to perform basic math functions and follow written or verbal instructions and safety rules.

Various Worksites: Employer will provide transportation to and from the main office to job sites in Minnehaha, McCook, Moody, Clark, Hanson, Douglas, Charles Mix, Spink, Yankton, Hutchinson, Marshall, Codington, Lake, Tripp, Roberts, Aurora, Turner, Lincoln, Gregory, Hamlin, Brown, Bon Homme, Miner, Buffalo, Clay, Brule, Brookings, Grant, Sanborn, Jerauld, Kings-bury, Day, Beadle, Davison, Brule, Edmonds, McPhearson, Hand, Hyde, Faulk, and Deuel counties in SD. Some overnight stays may be required depending on the location and duration of the roofing project and will be paid for by the employer

Wages/Terms: $20.89/hr. - $23.00/hr., and $31.34/hr. - $34.50/hr. for OT. 40 hours per week.
