Job Title: Project Manager - Business Development (Commercial Construction)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager with a strong focus on Business Development to join our team. This role is essential in driving growth and managing projects in the commercial construction sector. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in commercial construction,

coupled with a proven track record in business development.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within

budget.

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.

  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and project execution.

  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address any issues or changes promptly.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial construction sector.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and bids to secure new projects.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement business development strategies.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Ensure client satisfaction by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

  • Address any client concerns or issues promptly and effectively.

Financial Management:

  • Monitor project financials, including budget, cost control, and profitability.

  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management.

  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payment collection.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.

  • Promote continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or a related field.

-Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction project management.

-Proven experience in business development, with a track record of securing new projects and clients.

-Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and regulations.

-Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

-Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

-Proficiency in project management software and tools.

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

-Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

-PMP or equivalent project management certification.

-LEED certification or experience with sustainable construction practices.
