Job Summary

The Manager – Digital Marketing oversees the strategic, coordination and build activities for always-on and campaign-driven digital marketing solutions. This role is responsible for websites, business listings and several other digital front door tools controlled by our digital team. This individual collaborates across the organization on select technology reviews, implementations and integrations.

This role is responsible for driving enhancement roadmaps to improve website user experience, non-paid traffic, and interaction and conversion rates for both paid and organic efforts. The Manager – Digital Marketing will partner with digital, marketing, content, consumer engagement, design, and development teams to deliver comprehensive and integrated digital strategies that increase awareness and improve SEO, drive customer acquisition, and improve product adoption.

Essential Job Functions

  1. UX Implementation & Optimization: For websites and other digital front door technologies managed by our team, lead projects and cross-functional teams in discovery, accessibility, usability and UX design; implementation; and optimization. Develop user insights, research and testing plans – and use quantitative and qualitative data to back assumptions and devise digital strategies. Develop business cases as needed.

  2. Organizational Collaboration: Collaborate across the organization on other select technology updates and implementations that are integrated with our digital tools and/or relate to consumers’ digital experiences and messaging. Communicate effectively with both business and technical staff and convey complex ideas.

  3. Team Leadership: Lead select digital team members focused on digital strategy and projects. Support, coach, mentor and guide direct reports toward professional and business goals.

  4. Daily Operations & Maintenance: Manage day-to-day content and layout updates for external websites and business listings via content management systems and design software. Demonstrate accountability for website and other key platform updates, platform administration and improvements. Serve as a liaison to vendors including management of day-to-day activities. Troubleshoot, resolve and escalate technical issues as needed – and communicate with vendors and internal teams.

  5. Digital Advisor: In collaboration with digital, content, marketing strategy, consumer engagement, design teams and agency partners, recommend and implement best practices for digital experiences and advertising. Ensure the end-to-end digital experience and measurement meet both organic and paid campaign goals.

  6. Analytics & Insights: Lead maintenance of digital analytics frameworks, tracking code strategy and processes. Review and respond to digital analytics requests to generate reports and draw conclusions and insights. Own, analyze and communicate results including KPIs on a monthly and quarterly basis.

  7. Governance & Documentation: Partner with Director and colleagues to develop and operationalize digital product governance to ensure a consistent framework; align with brand, legal and privacy requirements; and comply with laws and regulations. Document key requirements, decisions and best practices – and lead the creation of playbooks and work instructions for onboarding, training and consistency.

  8. Consumer-Centric: Apply design thinking, user experience strategies and data analytics to define and create intuitive user experiences that reduce friction and improve satisfaction for our patients, members, partners and employees.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.

  • Required Experience:

  • Seven years’ experience in marketing, digital analytics, digital marketing strategy, managing digital programs and online advertising campaigns or additional media marketing.

  • Experience developing web page strategies from both build and content perspectives as well as actively using a content management system (CMS). Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

  • Experience developing and implementing organic and paid digital strategies – and advising on best practices – either at an advertising/media agency or working very closely with one from a corporate marketing perspective.

  • Experience in marketing digital technologies and Martech stacks, and/or health care digital technologies.

  • Advanced, proven professional experience in digital optimization, analytics and tracking tools, such as web analytics, tag management, and reporting/visualization systems.

  • Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working in marketing in the health care industry.

  • Experience with content and technical SEO, writing digital advertising content across multiple channels, plus reputation management and business listings.

  • Understanding of CRM tech stacks and ecosystems.
