National Archives and Records Administration Program Management Officer in Simi Valley, California

Summary This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. Serves as the Deputy Director at the Ronald W. Reagan Presidential Library (LP-RR). As a full deputy, shares with the Library Director the responsibilities for planning, directing, and administering all programs , activities , and staff of the library. Responsibilities As a Program Management Officer, you will: - Serve as a principal advisor to the Legislative Archives, Presidential Libraries, and Museum Services (L) Executive; the Office of Presidential Libraries (LP) Director; and other officials on Presidential Library programs and serves as a visible representative of the National Archives and Records Administration. - Assist the LP-RR Director in directing programs through subordinate supervisors to a wide range of users (scholars, public officials, general public, etc.). - Assure compliance with federal laws , regulation s, and obligation s relating to overall library administration, museum programs and the Archival programs of LP. - Oversee the development, justification, and presentation of LP-RR budgets and determines need for additional financial and personnel resources. - Maintain close and cordial working relations with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute , its Board members and other support organizations to secure their advice, counsel, and support in developing the facilities and services of the library and museum. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Developing policies, procedures, and standards in order to improve operations; AND - Leading a team or project; to include gaining cooperation from others to obtain information and accomplish goals; AND - Coordinating with executive level staff to make recommendations and implement solutions.
