Trinity Health Registered Respiratory Therapist (PRN) in Silver Spring, Maryland

distance from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD

Description:

  • full-time 7am – 7pm or 7 pm – 7 am shift schedule

  • Reporting to the Director of Respiratory Care Services

  • Level III NICU

  • Excellent learning opportunities

  • Respiratory Dept. and staff that takes pride in a meticulous in workflow

Responsibilities:

  • Performs respiratory care procedures in response to patient needs and physician direction/orders

  • Assesses the respiratory status of assigned patients through physical exam, chart review, and response to ordered therapy; and makes recommendations, when appropriate, to affect and achieve an optimal level of response to the intervention ordered.

  • Performs airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation as required.

What you will need:

Required:

  • Registry with the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist

  • Current licensure from the state of Maryland as a Respiratory Care Practitioner

  • At least one year of clinical experience preferred

  • Current CPR training with recertification every two years.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred:

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) if working in NICU/Special Care Nursery
