In this position, employees will be responsible for the working in the rail loading operation which includes operating a forklift, handling inventory, working in & around rail cars, understanding the safe movement of rail cars in & out of the loading area, and work in the rail yard.

Hours: M-F 11:00PM to 7:00AM

Pay: 21.00 Per hour

What’s the job?

  • Understand Pedestrian & Mobile Equipment safety in the work area

  • General housecleaning of the work area

  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner

  • Understand Plant & Distribution Safety Rules

  • Able to understand and apply all safety procedures

  • Understand and follow all SOPs related to the Distribution Take Off operations

  • Understand all Plant emergency situations & procedures

  • Complete Employee Safety Orientation & all safety training programs

  • Report all safety incidents to Team or Group Leaders

  • Proper use of necessary PPE required in the Plant work areas

  • Proper transport and stacking of board in a safe and productive manner

  • Ensuring risers are removed from all bays when empty

  • Operation of propane powered forklifts to load, unload, transport and stack materials

  • Completion of pre –shift / walk around inspections of forklifts

  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as cleaning, lubricating, fueling or replacing propane tanks

  • Proper placement of risers on board units in the warehouse

  • Complete rail car prep work & final load security, which includes working at heights

  • Complete inventory security in the bagging process

  • Trained to operate rail car tug, which includes work in the yard moving rail cars

  • Understand safety procedures on moving rail cars in & out of the loading area

  • Understand all safety procedures associated with rail loading operation

  • Ability to handle rail bags and secure rail bags during the bagging process

  • Complete as instructed all other job assignments that are issued by Distribution Team Leader

What do you bring?

Requirements:

  • Previous Industrial Powered Vehicle experience a plus

  • Warehouse and shipping experience a plus

  • Ability to handle (lift, push, pull) up to 50lbs

  • High school education or equivalent (Required)

  • Strong communication skills
