    Background & Purpose of the Job

    he FM 2 ( Boiler Operations ) position is responsible for ensuring maximum availability to the production plant utilizing excellent technical skills for improvements and modifications and sound application s . All actions must contribute to the delivery of operational KPIs ( Safety , Quality, Productivity , Health and Environment, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Innovation (PQSCDMI)) . M ust be a mentally agile and advanced problem solver who is able to maximize machinery op erations whilst minimizing down-time .

    The FM2 position works independently to manage various Facil ity Maintenance tasks in various field s such as Steam, Air, Water, Fire safety Systems, Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fabrication, General Grounds Keeping, Painting and general cleaning .

    Who You Are & What You’ll Do

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Operating and maintaining Steam Generators (Boilers)

  • Operating and conducting Water Chemistry test associated with Steam Generator s (Boiler s )

  • Operating and m aintaining the facilit ies Steam System including piping, components, and controls.

  • Operating and maintaining Water Cooling Towers

  • Operating and conducting Water Chemistry test associated with Water Cooling Towers

  • Operating and maintaining the facilities Water-Cooling Towers including piping, components and controls

  • Operating and maintaining Fire Safety Systems, components, and controls

  • Maintain water softener systems.

  • General Electrical trouble shooting and repairs.

  • Electrical systems, mechanics, hydraulics, facilities, pneumatics, and related components

  • Building maintenance duties , p ainting, cleaning, carpentry, c ement/masonry work

  • Installation and/or repairs to plumbing systems for bathrooms, breakrooms and production floor consisting of drains and fixtures.

  • Maintenance and operation of foot- bath systems

  • Repairs and maintenance to HVAC units, including filters, drains, screens, motors, drive systems, wiring, bearings, greasing, control d evices, duct system and related.

  • Welding, brazing, soldering, use of cutting torch.

  • Replace/repair broken window, doors and door accessories.

  • Completes daily, weekly and monthly c hecklists on building equipment.

  • Perform miscellaneous housekeepi ng and other duties as assigned.

  • Perform tasks related to the shipping and receiving of equipment and parts such as constructing crate, etc.

  • Replace/repair light fixtures as needed, ballast replacement and basic electrical wiring, cleaning of len ses and fixtures as required.

  • Perform misc. work including hanging pictures, communication boards, and etc.

  • Performance of minor maintenance on walls and floors of facility

  • Develop and follow established Automated Maint enance Management Systems ( MegaMation )

  • Develop, Coach, Train and follow established Preventative Maintenance (PM)

  • Follow all required safety proce dures and work in a safe manner.

  • Performs work as directed by Supervisor and /or designated team leader.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Required – Minimum High School diploma.

  • Required – Minimum 2 years’ experience with Facility Utility equipment and process .

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as a production line mechanic, faci lities mechanic or similar .

  • Good knowledge of electrical systems, mechanics, hydraulics, facilities, pneumatics and related components.

  • Proficient in MS office Suite applications, strong emphasis on Work and Excel.

  • Ability to work with and lead teams comprised of all personnel levels

  • Ability to comprehend machine manuals and drawings with a clear interpretation of their meaning.

  • Preferred – Higher Educational Degree or Vocational/ Apprentice coarse in the steam boiler operation field , Mechanical field, Electrical field .

  • Experience of working as part of an extended team within the manufacturing sector.

  • Strong coaching and comm unication skills.

  • Proven analytical skills.

  • Experience of manufacturing in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Company and World Class Manufacturing.

  • Experience as a team member within a project Management team with an awareness of project management tools and techniques.
