Link Solutions Inc. is seeking a Technical Editor (Intermediate-Level) to join our team at Fort Huachuca, located in Sierra Vista, Az.

  • Must be a US Citizen 

  • Active DoD Security Clearance

  • Hybrid-Remote

  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

As a Technical Editor, you will provide services in support of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) document management team. Your responsibilities will include creating and publishing high-quality technical documentation and manuals, and ensuring accurate and comprehensive information dissemination.

You will support NETCOM in collecting and interpreting technical data or information and coordinating layouts for publication to Army Enterprise programs at various life cycle stages. You will also provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned projects or tasks.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Draft, write, edit, proofread, and provide comments on team documents, ensuring clarity, punctuation, grammar, style, and content are correct and formatted appropriately.

  • Create, edit, update, and store NETCOM templates, as well as generate, assign, and store Document Control Numbers (DCNs).

  • Maintain DoD and DA technical documentation, adhering to parlance and regulatory guidance.

  • Edit technical documents in collaboration with team members and document authors, delivering highly technical content.

  • Support NETCOM in collecting and interpreting technical data, and coordinating layouts for publication to Army Enterprise programs at various life cycle stages.

  • Provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned projects or tasks.

  • Maintain and update a comprehensive document library, ensuring easy access and retrieval of all technical materials.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations, continuously improving documentation processes.

  • Assist in training team members on documentation procedures and best practices, fostering a culture of excellence.

Shift:

  • Monday-Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

  • Tue, Wed, Thur onsite at Fort Huachuca office

  • U.S. Citizen

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

  • One (1+) year of relevant experience or an AA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of technical writing concepts.

  • Proficiency in creating or modifying graphics, tables, and figures.

  • Experience with desktop publishing, multimedia production, and online documentation software.

  • Excellent computer and word processing skills, with strong writing, editing, proofreading, and page composition skills.

  • Experience proofreading, reviewing, revising, and editing technical information.

Preferred:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.

  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).

  • ITIL® 4 Foundation Certification 

  • Knowledgeable about Army and NETCOM rules and regulations concerning documentation and style.

  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.

  • Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems

  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
