Human Resource Director Essential Functions:

  • Partner with the management team in overall planning, directing and evaluation of human resource activities for the agency.
  • Serve as a resident expert and staff resource on personnel matters.
  • Update and maintain all personnel files and records.
  • Update and maintain staff training records.
  • Assist Finance with Certified and non-certified teacher tracking/updating
  • Administer human resource programs in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws (i.e. FMLA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO).
  • Update and administer personnel procedures in conjunction with the Executive Director.
  • Advertise, recruit, interview and complete reference checks for new vacancies. Advertising and making sure vacancies are posted to our CAS Website, LinkedIn, Indeed and Arizona Connection.
  • Log performance evaluation completions and prompt managers of upcoming performance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions and evaluations for each position in the agency.
  • Ensure fingerprint requirements are met as required by DES and DOE for both new and current employees. Following up with employees to send expiration reminders at 30 days, 90 days and 6 months.
  • Develop and conduct new employee orientation.
  • Benefit enrollment for eligible staff prior to the benefit effective date
  • Develop and conduct training for managers and other staff on topics such as sexual harassment, ADA, Title VII, and crucial conversations.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and submitted as required by finance and management, including letters of hire.
  • Develop and conduct entry and exit interviews.
  • Collect keys and other agency property during terminations. Creation of termination letters and execution to staff, when applicable.
  • Covid Assistance documenting positive cases, reporting the needed information to the Arizona Health Department and working with Principals for next steps and how to proceed with Covid exposure among staff and students.
  • Tracking of vaccination status as given by employees.
  • Verification of Employments verbal and paper documentation as requests are received

WIOA Equal Opportunity Officer Essential Functions:

  • Develop and publish procedures for processing discrimination complaints.
  • Review local written policies to ensure they are not discriminatory.
  • Serve as a liaison between the State EO office and local staff. Provide training to staff regarding EO procedures and policies.
  • Serve as compliance/oversight officer regarding accessibility for all WIOA programs and services, including ADA and persons with limited English proficiency (LEP).
  • Monitor the WIOA recipient and sub-recipient activities for compliance with non-discrimination and equal opportunity obligations.
  • Attendance of job fairs when time permits
  • Provider of guidance to ARIZONA@Work Team when a client/customer of theirs has questions or needs assistance about filing an EO complaint.
