Honeywell Shipping and Receiving Specialist - Level 1 in Shreveport, Louisiana

As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist Level 1 here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for managing the shipping and receiving operations at our Shreveport location within the Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS) business unit. You will report directly to our Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Shreveport, Louisiana location following a full-time schedule Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Over-time opportunities are available.

In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods within our supply chain. You will be accountable for receiving incoming shipments, inspecting and verifying the contents, and accurately recording the receipt of goods. Additionally, you will be accountable for preparing and packaging outgoing shipments, ensuring that they are properly labeled and documented. Your attention to detail and adherence to shipping and receiving procedures will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive incoming shipments, inspect and verify contents, and accurately record receipt of goods

  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts

  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve any shipping or receiving issues

  • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations related to shipping and receiving operations

    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

    Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

    The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

    YOU MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving operations

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information

  • Ability to lift and move heavy packages, up to 50 pounds

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems
