JOB SUMMARY

Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information of the organization. Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of revenue, expenses, and statistics based on past, present, and expected operations. Oversees bank reconciliations. Performs account reconciliations and journal entries.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Prepares monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts and monitors cash variances.

  • Assists Accounts Payable with the year-end 1099 process.

  • Provides advice and assistance to department heads and managers in analyzing and interpreting financial data and reports.

  • Assists in providing support for external audits, examinations and related financial projects.

  • Compiles and analyzes financial information, prepares account reconciliations, non-patient billing and journal entries.

  • Compiles and reports various monthly statistics for the organization.

  • Consistently completes all assignments in a timely manner, thoroughly and appropriately detailed.

  • Effectively maintains all required records for the department and demonstrates good organizational skills.

  • Performs accounting and tax research on special projects, as needed.

  • Work on monthly tasks as assigned by the manager.

  • Work on Audit and Cost Report tasks assigned by the manager.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education / Experience / License and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.

  • Recent experience in the hospital or long term care field preferred

Additional Skills

  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

  • Basic computer knowledge, with ability to extract/analyze from various databases.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Highly developed organizational skills.
