Impact
As a Senior UX Interaction Designer , you will be pivotal in defining end-to-end digital experiences for web and mobile platforms. Grounded in Design Thinking and human-centered design principles, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build empathy for users, craft innovative concepts, and iterate based on user insights. This ensures the delivery of intuitive, accessible, and impactful products that delight users and meet business goals.
The Job
As a Senior UX Interaction Designer , you will lead in shaping product experiences, focusing on both in-product and end-to-end client journeys. You’ll collaborate with Designers, Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers to envision and implement elegant solutions to complex challenges. With expertise in interaction design and a deep understanding of user needs, you will create designs that align with strategic goals and resonate with diverse audiences. This role reports to a UX Manager.
Responsibilities
Define user models and interfaces for new and existing products.
Develop storyboards, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate ideas effectively.
Plan and conduct usability testing, synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create user-focused solutions and interactive designs.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Design System.
Plan and estimate design work while setting clear expectations with stakeholders.
Maintain expertise in competitive products and industry trends.
Advocate for users, ensuring their needs and feedback guide design decisions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in design (e.g., UX, Interaction, Graphic, HCI, Product), related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in crafting usable digital interfaces
Proficiency in prototyping and design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch).
Strong expertise in Design Thinking, Lean UX principles, and Agile practices.
Experience creating user journeys, personas, scenarios, flow diagrams, and prototypes.
Hands-on experience in planning, conducting, and applying user research insights
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with mobile (native and web) design and accessibility guidelines.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US. Employer will not sponsor position for employment visa status now or in the future. (ex. H-1B)
Good to Have
Familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics and a strong interest in tracking user metrics.
Experience coaching junior team members and adapting to shifting priorities.
Basic understanding of visual design heuristics and principles.
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Location:
This will be a Hybrid role. This position currently works four (4) days out of our Shelton office with the option to work from home one (1) day per week. This hybrid status may change based on business need. (No relocation assistance offered)
