Air Combat Command Laborer in Shaw AFB, South Carolina

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Carolina Lake Golf Course Shaw AFB, SC. Responsibilities Bring out and stages golf carts for customer use. Returns carts to cart building following use. Performs simple golf cart maintenance, i.e. removes trash, cleans, fills sand buckets, and fills batteries with water as needed. Maintains on-course water coolers (clean, sanitize, empty, fill) and delivers and removes coolers from designated tee boxes and driving range. Assists in the maintenance of course grounds and facilities using simple powered equipment such as clippers, weed trimmers, low-pressure sprayers, powdered pavement vacuums, and wet vacuums or steam cleaners. Digs ditches, holes where grading and sloping is not required, fill holes with dirt and level bumps using shovels, hand tampers, and rakes. Digs holes for plants, irrigation system, and tee boxes. Performs other related work as assigned. Responsible for daily upkeep of the driving range to include picking balls, cleaning balls, refilling the ball machine and changing the water in the ball washer. Keeps tee clean and organized. Picks up broken tees, refills club cleaners. Keeps interior and exterior of self-service driving range building clean and organized. Removes trash, debris, empties all garbage cotnainers around the clubhouse, dispose of restaurant trash and grease and cleans mats from restaurant. Qualifying Experience: No previous experience or training is required. Be able to use, control, and clean common band tools, and simple power equipment. Be able to follow oral and/or written instructions. Be physically able to frequently lift and cany medium to heavy objects up to 40 pounds and be able to occasionally lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds. Be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions. Be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
