This position qualifies for our $5,000 signing bonus. The bonus will be paid at $2,500 at the time of hire, and $2,500 at 1 year (with satisfactory review), please ask for details.

JOB SUMMARY:

As an Ohio CAT Field Technician you will p erform preventative maintenance (PMs) in the field, on Caterpillar and other equipment. Perform minor repairs such as tightening clamps, replacing o-rings, changing lights, etc. Collect and process oil and fluid samples for testing and diagnosis. Perform required paperwork for service reports and DOT requirements. Track and maintain a level of stock on the truck. This position requires flexibility in daily schedule and from time to time starting and finishing times will vary. REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • College and/or continued education in a technical field are a plus.

  • Have a thorough understanding of heavy equipment, preventative maintenance procedures, and be able to perform minor repairs.

  • Possess the ability to work in a low-supervised environment and take direction from multiple supervisors.

  • Have the ability to safely operate service trucks in a variety of weather conditions.

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker endorsement, with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Ohio CAT standards.

  • Must have the ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures as necessary to complete repairs and manufacturers’ updates, as required.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling

  • Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines

  • Dexterity Normal

  • Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
