The Director of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) is responsible for overseeing and managing all EHS programs and initiatives within the organization. This role ensures that the company complies with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, while fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. The Director will lead efforts to prevent accidents and incidents, minimize environmental impact, and ensure the well-being of employees and the community. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Oversee the development and implementation of safety programs, including risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations. * Ensure effective training programs are in place for all employees to promote a culture of safety. * Manage environmental programs related to waste management, emissions control, and resource conservation. * Ensure the company meets environmental reporting requirements and is prepared for inspections and audits. * Promote occupational health programs and ensure that health-related policies are adhered to. * Develop strategies to manage and mitigate health risks associated with chemical processes and materials. * Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant agencies. * Stay current with industry regulations and emerging trends, and update company practices accordingly. * Leadership and Team Management: * Respond to and manage EHS-related incidents, including spills, accidents, and non-compliance events. * Conduct root cause analyses and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence. * Serve as the primary contact for EHS-related issues with external agencies, stakeholders, and the community. * Prepare and present reports on EHS performance, including metrics and improvement initiatives. * Identify and implement improvements in EHS processes and systems. * Promote a culture of continuous improvement through regular reviews and updates to EHS practices. * Lead and mentor the EHS team, including setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews. * Collaborate with other departments to integrate EHS practices into daily operations. * Develop and manage budgets related to environmental, heath and safety. QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the chemical industry. * Professional certification (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)) is highly desirable. * In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices specific to the chemical industry. * Working knowledge of ISO, OSHA, and EPA regulations * Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement efforts and corrective actions * Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Proven track record of managing complex projects and cross-functional teams. * Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive EHS improvements. * Proficient with business software platforms * Experience with warehouse management software * Proficient in Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics [D365] * A professional and positive attitude * Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.Apply here: https://www.aplitrak.com/?adid=YmJnZW5lcmljLjY1NjA5LjEwNTA4QGR1Ym9pc2NoZW1pY2Fsc2NvbXAuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t
