C.H. Robinson Implementation Project Consultant in Shanghai, United States

C.H. Robinson seeks an Implementation Project Consultant to join our team. This pivotal role puts you at the helm of technical integration and system setup for projects, from inception to triumphant Go Live & support phases. Your key responsibilities will encompass onboarding new businesses, providing vital support to ongoing customer projects, and lending expertise across various specialized domains. You'll drive diverse tasks—documenting customer requirements, collaborating with Technology specialists, configuring systems, and ensuring seamless project communication. Leveraging your expertise in solution design and technical integrations, you'll expand horizons, diving deep into organizational processes and customer insights. Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical link between customer project teams and internal Development Team resources

  • Document customer requirements and translate them into internal systems and operations

  • Identify system gaps and necessary enhancements to meet customer expectations

  • Convey technical requirements for B2B communication and offer informal guidance to new team members

  • Execute the Process Transformation Methodology, including documenting customer expectations, capturing current processes, and leading future-state solution designs

  • Develop testing plans, SOPs, and training materials, conduct training sessions, and facilitate collaboration within the project team

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager, oversee project resources' progress, and contribute to tool and methodology development

  • Assist in managing helpdesk tickets, transfer knowledge to customer teams, and provide support during Go-live and to the Business Development Team while ensuring SOC process compliance

  • Drive quality in work, adhere to guidelines and policies, and lead project meetings with internal and external teams

  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country-specific requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of technical project management experience

  • Previous experience working with customers, vendors, or carriers

  • Previous experience with TMS software

  • Flexible hours (some weekend/late hours may be required)

  • Up to 20% travel may be required (domestic and/or international)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic facilitation skills, including but not limited to relationship management, presentation, discussion, documentation, and accountability

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deliver presentations for internal and external audiences at all levels

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts internally and externally at all levels

  • Understanding of key business drivers; use this understanding to accomplish your work

  • Problem-solving and analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents

  • Explaining complex information to others in straightforward situations

  • Valuing a diverse and inclusive work environment
