DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS  * Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Work with the Lead Business Systems Analyst to prioritize conflicting projects and initiatives.  * Provide subject matter expert support to business personnel for their areas of expertise.    * Gather/analyze requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system design specifications.    * Understand and execute Quality Assurance tasks.  Design and review test plans and test cases to assure that business risks will be mitigated by thorough testing. Assist business stakeholders with user acceptance testing, defect reporting and resolution.   * Accept and provide constructive commentary and review by participating in peer reviews of own and other team members' work.  Embrace an environment of continuous self and team improvement.    * Ensure adequate communication to the appropriate stakeholders, risk assessment, testing approvals, quality of the documentation (including SOX compliance) and production readiness.    * Where appropriate, responsible for the entire life cycle for medium complexity projects including but not limited to: creation of project plans, research and analysis, design, development, test, implementation, training and documentation - following IS standards and procedures.   * Support a portfolio of custom and third-party applications using a wide range of technologies involving all areas of a manufacturing business.   * Meet or exceed IS Service Level Agreements (SLAs). 

JOB REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS  * Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems or Management of Information Systems with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Information Technology required.  Will consider applicants with a high school diploma with a minimum of 13 years' experience in IT in lieu of degree.  * 3 years hands-on experience gathering/analyzing requirements and translating them into detailed functional specifications, process design, application design, collaborating with developers for customized development, testing (unit and regression), and application support required.  * Experience supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Baan or e-Emphasys highly desired to include experience implementing, managing change, and supporting complex interfaces between ERP and external systems.  * Must have experience in project with projects exceeding $50,000 with the ability to both effectively manage and escalate issues with project scope, project risk, and project change.  * Must demonstrate appropriate communication styles and approaches for success in a global organization structure. Communication skills with fluent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English language essential. Will be required to lead meetings and present to audiences of all levels to fulfill strategy and objectives.  Must be capable of communicating effectively with vendors and service providers to represent the company's best interests.  * Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel  * Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley legislation and the execution of application related controls is strongly desired.  * Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required and have current passport.  * Experience gathering/analyzing requirements and translating them into detailed functional specifications.  Collaborating with developers for customized development.  * Experience within a global diverse manufacturer of eight hundred million or more in annual revenue preferred  * Ability to maintain a big picture view of the project vision and goals when reviewing detail analysis and configuration activities  * Ability to effectively lead meetings and present t audiences of all levels within an organization  * Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel  * Dynamic information technology professional able to adjust leadership and communication style to resources and the given situation to yield the greatest possible results  * Possess excellent communication skills and leadership potential  * Demonstrated ability to uphold the highest levels of integrity, does what they say they will do.  Strong analytical, listening, interpersonal and problem solving skills. Customer focused with the ability to effectively manage customer relations.  Self motivated with a ""can do"" attitude.  * Must demonstrate an ability to champion change and to influence others.  * Must have a passion to excel, to deliver results and to deliver value to the business.  Along with this is the ability to think and act with a global mindset; to consider the impact to the entire enterprise.

PAY GRADE: 207  * Minimum: $78,046.80  * Midpoint: $99,509.28  * Maximum: $120,972.80
