DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Shop Operations Team Manager to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for Cummins Inc. in Seymour, IN.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Effective Communication Skills : Develop and deliver clear, multi-mode communications tailored to the unique needs of different audiences.
Strong Health and Safety Practices : Champion proactive health and safety behaviors, contributing to an injury-free workplace by identifying, reporting, and participating in actions to improve health and safety.
Expertise in Incident Investigation : Conduct thorough HSE incident investigations with accurate root cause analysis, leading to effective corrective actions and preventing repeated incidents.
Continuous Improvement Mindset : Implement process improvement and waste reduction methodologies to enhance quality and reduce costs in manufacturing processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
College, university or equivalent degree required, or equivalent experience required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Supervisory experience preferred.
Additional Responsibilities:
This role will manage a team of 8-20 hourly union employees for a machining operation at Seymour Engine Plant (SEP).
This role will have the responsibility to manage and develop a Continuous Improvement Leader (CIL) and work on a cross functional team with Quality and Machining Engineers.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel along with experience in machining environment is preferred.
