The Facilities Maintenance Technician- Painter, working under direct supervision, is responsible to conduct maintenance and repair on buildings and associated items, including doors, locks, hardware, roofing systems, access control systems, and structural and architectural components. The role performs inspections of company-owned buildings, provides recommendations for repair and maintenance actions, and ensures all facilities are maintained in a safe operating condition. The role also maintains an updated inventory of necessary building supplies and orders them as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. 80-90% of this role will be responsible for painting. Conducts maintenance and repairs on buildings and associated items, including doors, locks, hardware, roofing systems, access control systems, and structural and architectural components. Performs inspections of company-owned buildings, provides recommendations for repair and maintenance actions, and ensures all facilities are maintained in a safe operating condition. Maintains an updated inventory of necessary building supplies and orders them as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Collaborates with the Security and Compliance department to perform maintenance, repairs, and installation of access control systems. Responds to emergency repairs and engages in painting, general carpentry, and paving activities within the company's owned facilities. Updates and maintains the building component product database for assigned buildings, areas, and work-related tasks and works closely with the department leader for building-related planning purposes. Prepares sites for painting, such as setting up scaffolding and covering fixtures, and ensures proper surface preparation. Coordinates contractor services for painting, roofing, and paving projects in all designated facilities. Provides daily work schedules, makes scheduling adjustments as needed, coordinates cross-discipline support for the facilities operations team, and provides information and data to the operations management. Improves the work order planning and scheduling process continuously through the review and use of metrics, analysis of work order flow, and project demands. 0-2 years of experience in Facilities Repair and Maintenance, or a related field. High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and/or commensurate experience. Westfield celebrates diversity and is committed to inclusion.
