As an Application Development Associate Engineer, you will be working as a core member of the IT Service Management team to implement a new ServiceNow system. You'll be joining a small team working at the forefront of a new technology. Once implemented your role will be to support the system and will span responsibilities from configuring the system to building integrations and much more in between. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skillset and work across IT teams. #LI-DNI 0-3 years of experience in Application Development or a related field (ServiceNow preferred). Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and/or commensurate experience. Certification as a Software Development Professional is desirable in applicable technologies. ITIL v4 Foundations certification preferred. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Technical Skills and Responsibilities: Experience with or ability to develop skills to support a variety of technologies and software solutions such the list below: JavaScript, Python, HTML5, CSS3, and related tools Integration technologies (REST API development, SOAP based web services) Database Management languages and tools (SQL, DB2) Front-End Development tools Software security technologies (encryption, authentication) Participates in code reviews, identifies and resolves defects and code quality issues in a timely manner. Performs quality assurance functions including unit testing, system testing, and integration testing. Under direct supervision, analyzes and troubleshoots technical issues in applications and provides timely resolution to ensure minimal disruption to business operations. Participates in application maintenance activities as needed such as application upgrades, adherence to security protocols, and user support. Obtains and increases knowledge with respect to relevant technology, tools, processes, and related best practices. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Location Hybrid defined as three (3) or more days per week in the office.
