Job Title: Sanitation Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated sanitation technician to join our team at a large concrete and cement terminal. This role requires 1-2 years of experience in industrial or commercial cleaning. The position involves cleaning office spaces, business lobbies, locker rooms, shower facilities, production areas, and the grounds.

Responsibilities

• Report to the worksite 15 minutes prior to the shift time (7:00AM).

• Discuss daily action items with the supervisor and receive assigned duties.

• Work mostly independently and occasionally as part of a team.

• Clean the 2nd floor and any other areas as needed, including hallways, staircases, and elevators.

• Inspect and perform minor repair on machinery or equipment as needed.

• Follow instructions and safety regulations.

• Operate high-powered cleaning equipment.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of cleaning experience in an industrial or commercial setting.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in using a power washer.

• Physical strength and stamina.

• Ability to follow instructions and safety regulations.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large industrial site with a staff of 4-6 full-time cleaners. The facility operates 24/7, and candidates will work alongside operators and other employees. The position involves working outside on the grounds and cleaning locker rooms and large group showers. The first shift runs Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional overtime. Flexibility is offered for parents needing to get kids on/off the bus. Candidates should be open to working overtime as needed. The physical demands include standing for long periods, bending, stooping, crouching, leaning, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs independently and team lifting objects over 50 lbs.
