DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will perform moderately complex clerical work through the review and processing of data related to various agency functions and serve as a receptionist. Work is performed with considerable independence under the guidance from the Fiscal Technician Supervisor and Administrative Assistant I and in conjunction with the overall clerical support system of the agency. You will work as part of a team that assists in the completion of all administrative, programmatic, and fiscal related duties. This position primarily manages the front receptionist area but shares these duties with other clerical and administrative staff to ensure the needs of the agency are met in a timely and efficient manner. You will also have the opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge through cross training with other members of the fiscal/clerical unit to assist with these other duties as needed. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
  • Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
  • Any combination of equivalent experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Snyder County. If no eligible candidates who live within Snyder County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
  • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
