Alamo Group Inc. Treasury Manager in Seguin, Texas

Reporting to the VP Tax and Treasury, the Treasury Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of treasury operations for Alamo Group Inc., including daily cash management, cash forecasting, treasury process and controls improvements, and maintaining a strong working relationship with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), corporate controllers, and other key members of the finance department.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  1. Cash Management: Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure optimal utilization of funds, including forecasting cash needs, overseeing cash disbursements, and managing cash balances across multiple accounts.

  2. Liquidity Planning: Develop and implement strategies to maintain sufficient liquidity for day-to-day operations and future business requirements. Coordinate with other departments to ensure liquidity needs are met while minimizing idle cash.

  3. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to protect the company’s assets. This includes managing interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, and credit risk. Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.

  4. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, including cash flow forecasting, financial modeling, and scenario analysis. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis to support decisions.

  5. Capital Structure: Collaborate with Tax and Legal on internal capital structure initiatives (e.g., dividends, intercompany financing, M&A transactions and cash management integration, corporate restructuring, etc.).

  6. Audits and Internal Controls: Develop, document, and implement policies, standard operating procedures, and guidelines to ensure auditability and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Assist with the internal and external audit process, as applicable.

  7. Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for efficiency, automation, and process optimization.

  8. Team Management: Supervise and develop support staff.

  9. Additional duties as assigned

  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience interacting with internal team members and senior management. Ability to write reports, letters, and profiles in a clear concise manner.

  7. Strong analytical and computer skills, including Excel and Word.

  8. Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment.

  9. Ability to work irregular and/or extended hours including weekends and holidays as needed to meet objectives.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, economics, or related field is required. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CTP) a plus.

  • 5+ years of progressive treasury experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions:

Work performed in an office environment, with frequent sitting for extended periods of time and occasional lifting of 10 pounds independently; and stooping, reaching, and/or bending to perform accounting clerical/filing requirements.
