The Seguin Police Department is currently hiring for Sponsored Police Cadet positions. The Law Enforcement Academy is set to start February 3, 2025. NOTE: Applicants must have written, and physical testing completed by January 12, 2025.

• Must be at least 21 years of age at Academy Graduation (expected July 2025).
• You must be a citizen of the United States of America.
• You must be a resident of Guadalupe County.
• Must have valid Texas Driver's License.
• You must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Never been convicted, plead guilty (nolo contendere), nor been on court-ordered community service/probation or deferred adjudication for a Class A misdemeanor or felony.
• During the last ten(10) years, you have not been convited, plead guilt (nolo contendere), been on community service/probation or deferred adjudication for a Class B misdemeanor in this state, other state, or while serving in the military.
• You have never had a military count martial that resulted in a dishonorable or bad conduct discharge.
• Must pass written, physical, medical, psychological, drug and alcohol exams.
• Must pass oral interview and background check.
• Must pass Law Enforcement Academy and State Exam.
