REPORTS TO: Director of Supply Chain

SUMMARY: The Customer Support Specialist will provide the first line of contact and on-going support for the UAI customer base and UA Outside Sales. Being a customer-focused role, the primary focus of this position ensures Total Customer Excellence through adherence to internal sales processes and practices. This is attained through providing consistent and seamless communication of project status from development to delivery to customer. The expectation is we are providing a total customer solution that is unmatched against industry standards.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Manages all aspects of Sales Order Entry process to include entry, contract review & engineering change requests in a timely and organized manner

  • Primary contact for OEM Buyer and provides daily, weekly & monthly open order reports and current scheduling parameters based on current Production capabilities

  • Escalates Customer concerns and works with internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction is retained.

  • Supports Cross-Functional internal team(s) by communication of RFQ, Approval Request & follow-up, and submission of Engineering documentation.

  • Issues order acknowledgements and composes professional communication to customers and potential customers.

  • Communicates with all departments whose involvement impacts customer communications, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Shipping.

  • Maintains accurate Customer profiles, pricing initiatives and necessary process integrity to ensure compliance with our ISO certification process audits.

  • Develops team collaboration with incremental cross training to ensure readiness when events occur that require additional duties that are outside normal scope.

  • Attends, facilitates, and presents fact-based reports and analysis both for onsite and offsite customer visits when traveling with UA Outside Sales.

  • Any other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Manager of Sales.

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING OR WE'D LIKE TO SEE:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.

  • 4-5 years of sales and/or customer service experience within the manufacturing field

  • Must possess and exemplify a professional skill set when it relates to all written and verbal customer communications.

  • Demonstrate an ability to understand, prioritize, manage, and professionally grow in current skill set.

    Familiarity working with an ERP- Cloud based database environment.

  • Must be able to navigate in a windows-based computer environment.

  • Ability to travel 5% of the time.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • This will be an onsite position in Seguin, Texas.

  • If selected for the role, a background check will be conducted.

  • May require training at our HQ in Janesville, WI.

  • Travel up to 5% of the time.
